What is the birthday offer at Bisou Phuket?

The terms are deliberately short, because a birthday offer with a page of conditions is not an offer.

That is a broad offer for the island. Most birthday deals here run the other way round: you pay a package price and receive things back. TaiPan on Bangla Road publishes birthday packages at 10,000, 15,000 and 20,000 THB for bronze, silver and gold, which include a VIP sofa, discounted bottle service, snacks, a cake and a T-shirt, with one complimentary sparkling wine for six guests and two for ten, available between 21:30 and 1:00, and no ID required. That is a nightclub table, not a dinner, and it is the right thing for a certain kind of birthday.
For something with a view, Dinner in the Sky Phuket charges 4,900 THB per person for the sunset seating from 17:30 to 18:30, 3,900 THB for dinner from 19:30 to 20:30 and 1,900 THB for cocktails only, and will add a customised message or a cake to a birthday booking. Confirm the current terms with the operator when you book.
Can you bring your own cake to a restaurant in Phuket?
At Bisou, yes, and it costs nothing. The team will cut the cake and plate it for your guests rather than handing you a knife. Tell us when you book so there is somewhere cold to keep it until dessert.
Elsewhere on the island you will have to ask. A cutting fee is common enough in restaurants worldwide, since it stands in for the dessert the kitchen did not sell, but there is no Phuket standard we know of and few places publish a figure. One phone call settles it.
Where to buy one, since most visitors ask: ready-made cakes are stocked at Big C, Villa Market, Tops and the larger Lotus's stores. Custom bakeries on the island include Ilona Cake Phuket and Cakes Shop Sweet Box. Ordinary birthday candles are sold at 7-Eleven and Lotus's, and number-shaped candles turn up in mall stationery shops such as Central.

The birthday dinner at Bisou, in practice
A modern French restaurant and cocktail bar on Bandon-Cherngtalay Road, a short drive from Laguna, Boat Avenue and Bang Tao Beach, with parking at the rear via the side street.
Bisou opened in 2025, founded by chef Antoine Darquin and sommelier Théo Lavergne, with Manon Bares running the kitchen and Louis Chartier looking after the room. The food is plated to share, which suits a birthday table better than a plate each: truffle French toast to start, a house beef Wellington, a whole seabass in salt crust flambéed at the table. Dinner runs nightly from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM and the cocktail bar runs throughout, so a table that starts at eight can still be a bar at midnight without moving.
The birthday plate arrives without being asked for: Happy Birthday piped freehand in dark chocolate across a large plate, quenelles, edible flowers, a candle. It is not something you unlock by ordering a set menu, and it is not on the bill.

When to book, and what to wear
Book earlier than you think between November and April, and dress smart casual anywhere decent.
Phuket's high season runs from November to April, with the peak from mid-December through February, when the island sits at 27 to 28 degrees and hotel rates run 30 to 50 percent above low season. The two busiest weeks of the year are New Year and Chinese New Year, when a west coast table on a Saturday is genuinely hard to get at short notice. Outside those weeks, a few days is usually enough for a table of two to six, and a week or more for anything larger.
The dress code norm at Phuket's better restaurants is smart casual: no beach shorts, no flip-flops. That is worth saying out loud to a group arriving from Bang Tao Beach at seven.
Bang Tao itself is a 6 km beach on the west coast, roughly halfway between the airport and Patong, with the Laguna complex behind it and Boat Avenue, and its Friday market, just inland. Cherngtalay sits between them, which is why a birthday dinner here works for a group scattered across three different resorts.
